Crushhh is an upbeat, dance oriented live performance group, inspired by the energy of disco and funk music from the 1970’s. With bouncing melodic bass lines that drive a steady groove behind both a vintage electronic drum beat and live drums, the full bodied sound is further layered with crisp guitar riffs, playful synthesizer melodies, and pop infused vocal lines. All together, a soul satisfying hybrid sound is created, with an intentionality placed on live performance that ignites dance and joyful movement.

The band has been writing music together since September 2017. The music is composed by the five members, Emily Oak (vocals) Garrett Johnson (bass) Bennett Dobni (guitar) Audréanne Filion (keys) and Eli Kaufman (drums). Additional players appear on the recordings including Connor LeClair (Saxophone) Victoria Hebbard (Trumpet) Victor Wong Seen-Bage (Trumpet) Mitch Holtby (bongos) as well as supporting vocals from Natacha Homerodean, Ali Hendra, Teresa Dorey and Erica Cyr.
